Located in the rural locality of Rosebery, Victoria, the Rosebery Art Silo is a captivating testament to the power of public art. Completed in late 2017 by Melbourne-based artist Kaff-eine, the silo has become a must-see destination on the Silo Art Trail. Kaff-eine spent time exploring the Mallee region and connecting with locals to develop a concept that reflects the region's past, present, and future. The artwork on the silos tells a story of resilience and connection. One silo depicts a young female farmer, clad in work shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots, representing the strength and determination of women in the Mallee facing drought, fires, and other hardships. The horseman is portrayed in typical Mallee attire, complete with an Akubra hat, Bogs boots, and an oilskin vest. The Rosebery Art Silo not only beautifies the landscape but also enhances the cultural identity of the region.
