Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Port Macquarie from anywhere in the Mid North Coast region. Use the Pacific Highway (A1) and follow the signs for Port Macquarie. Once you arrive in Port Macquarie, navigate to Gaol Point by following Clarence Street towards the coastline. As you approach the beach, look for the signs directing you to Goal Point Lookout. There is a small parking area available for visitors at the lookout. Parking is free, but be mindful of any time restrictions if applicable.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, catch a bus to Port Macquarie. Check the local bus timetable for services arriving in Port Macquarie from nearby towns. Once you arrive at the Port Macquarie bus terminal, you can either walk or take a taxi to Goal Point Lookout. If walking, head towards the coastline on Clarence Street, then follow the signs to the lookout. The walk is approximately 2 kilometers and may take about 25-30 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially on hot days.
