Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town center of Mid West. Head east on the main highway (National Route 1) towards Adelaide for approximately 120 km. Follow signs to the South Eastern Freeway. Take the exit toward the A17 (Mawson Lakes) and merge onto the A17. Continue for about 20 km until you reach the suburb of Paradise. Take the exit onto Hamilton Terrace and follow the road until you see the entrance to Thorndon Park Reserve on your right. There is free parking available at the reserve.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start at the Mid West bus station. Take the bus route heading towards Adelaide (check the current timetable for service frequency). You will need to transfer at the Adelaide Central Bus Station to catch the bus service (route 240) heading towards Paradise. Once you reach Paradise, disembark at the stop on Hamilton Terrace, which is a short walk (about 10 minutes) from the Thorndon Park Reserve entrance. Be sure to check the local bus schedules in advance as they may vary, and the trip may take approximately 2 hours in total.
