Car
If you are traveling by car from Geraldton, head south on the Brand Highway (National Route 1). Continue for approximately 200 km until you reach the turn-off to the Great Northern Highway (National Route 95). Follow this road south for about 300 km until you reach the intersection with the Eyre Highway (National Route 1). Take the Eyre Highway eastbound for about 250 km, then turn onto Mulgaria Road, which will lead you directly to Witchelina. Make sure to have a reliable GPS or map as mobile reception can be limited in rural areas.
Public Transportation
There are limited public transportation options in the Mid West region. Your best bet is to take a bus from Geraldton to Kalgoorlie. From Kalgoorlie, you can find a local shuttle service that may drop you off near Witchelina. However, this may require prior arrangements and could involve additional costs. Ensure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may not run daily.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you are in a nearby town and want to visit Witchelina without a car, consider booking a taxi or rideshare service. This option may be expensive due to the remote location, so be prepared for a significant fare. It’s advisable to arrange for a return ride as well, as public transport is infrequent in these areas.
Camping or Accommodation
If you plan to stay in the Witchelina area, check for any available camping or accommodation options nearby. Ensure to book in advance if possible, especially during peak tourist seasons, as options can be limited. There may be fees associated with camping or staying in local lodges.
