To reach Cathedral Gorge in Purnululu National Park, start by driving from any location in the Mid West region towards the town of Newman. From Newman, follow the Great Northern Highway (National Route 95) northbound. After approximately 280 km, turn onto the Purnululu National Park access road (Bungle Bungle Road). This road is unsealed and may require a 4WD vehicle, so ensure your car is suitable. Continue on this road for about 53 km, following the signs to Cathedral Gorge. There is a parking area near the gorge entrance where you can leave your vehicle.

Public transport options to Cathedral Gorge are limited. However, you can take a bus service from Perth to Newman. Once in Newman, you will need to hire a 4WD vehicle, as there is no direct public transport to Purnululu National Park. The rental companies in Newman can provide vehicles suitable for the unsealed roads.
