If you are driving, start from the center of Mount Wellington. Head south on Pinnacle Road. Continue on Pinnacle Road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the Wellington Park Entrance. Look for the sign indicating Shoobridge Track. Turn onto Shoobridge Track and park at the designated area. From there, the Octopus Tree is a short walk along the track. The parking is free.
