    If you are driving, start from the center of Mount Wellington. Head south on Pinnacle Road. Continue on Pinnacle Road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the Wellington Park Entrance. Look for the sign indicating Shoobridge Track. Turn onto Shoobridge Track and park at the designated area. From there, the Octopus Tree is a short walk along the track. The parking is free.

    To reach the Octopus Tree by public transport, take the bus route 446 from the Hobart City Centre to Mount Wellington. Get off at the stop nearest to the Wellington Park Entrance. From there, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers along Pinnacle Road until you reach Shoobridge Track. Follow Shoobridge Track for a short distance until you find the Octopus Tree. Be aware that the bus fare is approximately $4.00 one way.
