Car
If you're driving, start by heading to the Mount Wellington summit road from Hobart. Follow the signs to Mount Wellington. Once on the summit road, continue until you reach The Springs, which is approximately 15 kilometers from the city center. There is a parking area at The Springs where you can leave your car.
Walking
From The Springs car park, follow the marked walking track to Sphinx Rock Lookout. The track is well-maintained and takes about 20-30 minutes to walk. You'll be treated to stunning views of the surrounding landscape as you approach the lookout.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Hobart to The Springs. Check the local bus schedules for routes that go to the Mount Wellington area. Once you arrive at The Springs, follow the walking track to Sphinx Rock Lookout as described above. Note that bus fares may apply, so have some change or a travel card ready.
