If you're traveling by car, head towards Coober Pedy, South Australia. Tom's Opal Mine is located at Lot 1993 Stuart Hwy. From the center of Coober Pedy, take the Stuart Highway (A87) heading south. Continue for about 4 kilometers, and you will see the entrance to Tom's Opal Mine on your left. There is free parking available on site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a bus to Coober Pedy from major cities like Adelaide. Once you arrive at the Coober Pedy bus terminal, you can either walk (approximately 4 kilometers) or take a local taxi. The walk along the Stuart Highway is straightforward, but be cautious of traffic. A taxi ride will cost around $10-$15 AUD. Confirm the fare with the driver beforehand.

If you're already in Coober Pedy and want to visit Tom's Opal Mine, you can easily hail a taxi. It will take approximately 10 minutes to reach the mine from the town center, and the fare should be between $10-$15 AUD. Make sure to tell the driver you're going to Lot 1993 Stuart Hwy.
Bicycle
