Car
If you are driving from Yulara (the nearest town to Uluru), head south on the Lasseter Highway (National Route 87) for approximately 22 km until you reach the turn-off for the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The entrance to the park has a fee of approximately AUD 25 per adult, valid for three consecutive days. After entering the park, continue along the park road for about 15 km. Look for signs to the Lungkata Walk parking area, which is located near the base of Uluru.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a shuttle bus from Yulara to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Various companies offer shuttle services that operate from Yulara to the park, with prices typically around AUD 30 round trip per adult. Once you arrive at the park, you can ask the driver for directions to the Lungkata Walk. The walk starts from the base of Uluru, and the shuttle will drop you off at the main tourist area where you can easily access the trail.
Walking
Once you reach the Lungkata Walk starting point, follow the trail markers that guide you along the path. The Lungkata Walk is approximately 4 km long and takes about 1.5 hours to complete at a leisurely pace. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, carry water, and take in the stunning views of Uluru and the surrounding landscape.
