Car
From the town of Kingscote, head west on the Playford Highway (B23) towards Penneshaw. After approximately 30 km, turn left onto the South Coast Road (B37) and follow the signs towards Flinders Chase National Park. It will take around 1.5 hours to reach the Remarkable Rocks area, located within the national park. Once you arrive at the park entrance, there is a fee of approximately AUD 11 per vehicle to enter. Continue on the park road until you reach the parking area for Remarkable Rocks. The walk to the rocks is an easy 10-minute stroll from the parking lot.
Public Transportation
If traveling via public transportation, take a bus from Kingscote to Penneshaw. From there, you can catch a tour bus or a shuttle service that goes directly to Flinders Chase National Park. It's advisable to check local schedules as buses may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the national park, you will still need to pay the entry fee of around AUD 11 per vehicle, and then you can join a guided tour that includes stops at Remarkable Rocks.
Bike
For the adventurous, biking to Remarkable Rocks is an option. Start from Kingscote, following the Playford Highway (B23) to the South Coast Road (B37). The ride is approximately 40 km and can take 2-3 hours depending on your cycling speed. Be sure to wear a helmet and bring plenty of water. Once you reach the park entrance, you will need to pay the AUD 11 vehicle entry fee, and you can park your bike in the designated area before walking the 10 minutes to the Remarkable Rocks.
