From the town of South West Rocks, drive north on Gregory Street. After about 2 km, turn right onto the Arakoon Road. Follow Arakoon Road for approximately 5 km, then turn right onto Lighthouse Road. The Smoky Cape Lighthouse will be located at the end of Lighthouse Road. There is parking available near the lighthouse.

Take a bus from South West Rocks to the nearest town with public transport, such as Kempsey. From Kempsey, you can catch a bus to South West Rocks. Upon arrival at South West Rocks, you will need to either walk (which may take about 30 minutes) or arrange a taxi to take you to the Smoky Cape Lighthouse. If walking, head north on Gregory Street, then follow the same route as outlined for driving.

If you are already in South West Rocks, you can walk to the lighthouse. Start by heading north on Gregory Street for about 2 km until you reach Arakoon Road. From there, turn right and continue on Arakoon Road for about 5 km. Finally, turn right onto Lighthouse Road and walk until you reach the Smoky Cape Lighthouse. This walk offers beautiful views but is quite lengthy, so ensure you are prepared for it.
