Car
From the town of Bowral, head southeast on Bowral St towards Macquarie Rd. Continue on this road which will become the Old Hume Highway (B68). After approximately 5 km, turn right onto Boxvale Rd. Continue on Boxvale Rd for about 3 km until you reach the Forty Foot Falls car park. The parking area is located near the entrance to the walking track leading to the falls.
Public Transport
Take a train from Sydney to Mittagong Station. From Mittagong Station, you can catch a local bus (check for availability) heading towards Welby. If public transport is not available, consider taking a taxi or rideshare service from Mittagong Station directly to Boxvale Rd, Welby. The taxi ride is approximately 10 minutes and will take you directly to the Forty Foot Falls area.
Walking
If you're already in the Welby area, you can walk to Forty Foot Falls from the nearest bus stop on Boxvale Rd. The walking trail begins from the car park area. Follow the marked track leading to the falls, which is approximately a 20-30 minute hike depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water.
