Car
From the town of Bowral, head southwest on the Hume Highway (M31) towards Mittagong. Continue on M31 until you reach the turnoff for Wombeyan Caves Road. Follow Wombeyan Caves Road for approximately 15 km, and then turn left onto Muilwaree Cave Track. Follow this road until you reach the Wollondilly Cave parking area. Please note that the roads can be narrow and winding, so drive carefully.
Public Transportation to Car
If you are using public transport, take a train from Sydney to Mittagong Station. From Mittagong Station, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Wollondilly Cave area, as public transport options are limited. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes and may cost around AUD 50-70.
Walking
Once you arrive at the Wollondilly Cave parking area, you will need to walk to the cave entrance. The walk is approximately 1 km and includes some uneven terrain. Make sure to wear suitable footwear and carry water, as the area can be rugged. Follow the signposts that direct you to the Wollondilly Cave.
