If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Rockhampton. Head west on the Capricorn Highway (A4) for approximately 47 kilometers. Then, turn right onto the Cania Road and continue for about 17 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Kroombit Tops National Park. Be prepared for some unsealed roads, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended for better access to the park. Make sure to check the road conditions beforehand as they can vary.
Public Transportation + Car
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from major towns like Brisbane or Rockhampton to Monto. Once you arrive in Monto, you can hire a taxi or a local shuttle service to take you to Kroombit Tops National Park. The distance from Monto to the park entrance is approximately 30 kilometers, and you should confirm the availability of taxi services in advance. Expect to pay around AUD 60-80 for the taxi fare.
Car
For those coming from Bundaberg, take the Burnett Highway (A3) towards Monto. Once you reach Monto, follow the same route to the park as previously described.
