Car
From Sydney, take the M4 Motorway heading west towards Penrith. Continue on the M4 for approximately 50 kilometers. Merge onto the Great Western Highway (A32) toward Katoomba. After about 30 kilometers, take the exit for Blackheath and follow the signs for Evans Lookout. Once in Blackheath, turn onto Evans Lookout Road, where you will find parking at Evans Lookout. Note that parking is generally free, but be sure to check for any signs or regulations.

From Central Station in Sydney, take a train on the Blue Mountains Line towards Lithgow. The train ride to Blackheath takes about 2 hours.
