If you are traveling by car, the Enchanted Walk is located at Cradle Mountain Rd, Cradle Mountain TAS 7306. From Launceston, take the A1 highway towards Devonport. At Devonport, merge onto the Bass Highway (A2) and follow signs towards Cradle Mountain. Once you reach the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park entrance, you will need to pay a park entry fee of approximately AUD 24 per vehicle for a day visit. Continue along Cradle Mountain Rd until you reach the parking area for the Enchanted Walk, which is well-signposted.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, you can take a bus from Hobart to Cradle Mountain. The Tassie Link offers services from Hobart to Cradle Mountain, but be sure to check the schedule in advance as it may vary. Once you arrive at the Cradle Mountain visitor center, you can either walk to the Enchanted Walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a shuttle bus if available. The shuttle may incur an additional cost, typically around AUD 10 per person.
