Getting there

Car

From Hobart, take the Brooker Highway (A1) north towards Glenorchy. Continue on the A1 until you reach the junction with the B62. Take the B62 towards Mount Field National Park. Follow the signs for Mount Field National Park, which will lead you to the park entrance. There is a park entry fee of AUD $10 per vehicle, which you will need to pay at the entrance. Once inside the park, follow the signs to the Lady Barron Falls car park. The falls are a short walk from the car park, approximately 15 minutes along a well-maintained track.

Public Transportation

From Hobart, you can take a bus to Mount Field National Park. The bus departs from the Hobart Bus Interchange. Check the Tasmanian public transport website for the latest schedule and fares. The bus will take you to the Mount Field National Park entrance. Once you arrive, you will need to pay the park entry fee of AUD $10. After entering the park, follow the signs to the Lady Barron Falls car park. The falls are about a 15-minute walk from the car park along a well-marked trail.

If you are already within Mount Field National Park, ensure you have a map of the park. From the Visitor Centre, follow the signs to Lady Barron Falls. The walking track is well-maintained and takes around 15 minutes. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry water.
