    If you are starting from Airlie Beach, head south on Shute Harbour Rd. Follow the path until you reach the roundabout and take the second exit toward Shute Harbour. Continue along this road until you reach the junction with the Proserpine-Shute Harbour Rd. From there, you will want to take a left turn onto Proserpine-Shute Harbour Rd. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will see Cairns Lookout signs directing you to turn right onto a smaller road leading towards the lookout. Follow this road until you reach the parking area at Cairns Lookout.

  • Public Transport

    From Airlie Beach, you can take a local bus that operates services to Shute Harbour. Once you arrive at Shute Harbour, you will need to walk along Shute Harbour Rd. toward Proserpine-Shute Harbour Rd. Continue for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction where you’ll turn left onto Proserpine-Shute Harbour Rd. Look for the signs directing you to Cairns Lookout and follow them until you reach the parking area.

  • Bicycle

    For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Airlie Beach. Start by cycling along Shute Harbour Rd. towards Shute Harbour. At the roundabout, take the second exit and continue on Shute Harbour Rd. until you reach the junction with Proserpine-Shute Harbour Rd. Turn left here and after approximately 1.5 kilometers, look for the sign for Cairns Lookout. Follow the signs and bike until you reach the lookout area.
