Car
From Darwin, head south on the Stuart Highway (National Route 1) for approximately 160 kilometers. Turn right onto the Arnhem Highway (National Route 36) towards Jabiru. Continue on Arnhem Highway for about 90 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Mary River Floodplain. Follow the signs for Bamurru Plains, which is located approximately 20 kilometers down the access road. Please note that the access road may be unsealed, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended. There are no tolls on this route.

Take a bus from Darwin to Jabiru. Buses operate several times a week from Darwin to Jabiru, and the journey takes around 3 to 4 hours. Once you arrive in Jabiru, you will need to arrange a taxi or a shuttle service to Bamurru Plains, which is about 70 kilometers away. Taxi fares to Bamurru Plains can be quite expensive, so you may want to check with your accommodation for shuttle services or shared rides.
