Once you arrive at the park entrance, there is an entry fee of approximately $24 AUD per vehicle. After paying the fee, drive along the park road until you reach the Wineglass Bay car park. The lookout trail begins here. The hike to the lookout is approximately 1.5 km one way and involves a steep ascent, so be prepared with comfortable walking shoes.

For those relying on public transport, you can take a bus from Hobart to Coles Bay, which is the closest town to Freycinet National Park. The bus departs from the Hobart Bus Station and the journey takes around 2.5 hours. Once you reach Coles Bay, you will need to take a taxi or a rideshare service to the Freycinet National Park entrance. This will incur additional costs for the taxi. After entering the park (with the $24 AUD entry fee), drive or walk to the Wineglass Bay car park to access the lookout trail.
