If you're driving from central Yarra Valley, head south on the Maroondah Highway (B300) towards Lilydale. Continue on B300 for approximately 15 km. As you approach Lilydale, take the exit toward York Road. Follow York Road until you reach the intersection with Olinda Creek Road. Turn right onto Olinda Creek Road and look for parking areas near the trailhead. There are no parking fees, but be sure to check for any local signage regarding parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Olinda Creek Trail using public transport, first take a train from Melbourne to Lilydale Station. The trip takes about 1 hour. From Lilydale Station, catch bus number 685 toward Chirnside Park. Get off at the stop on York Road near Olinda Creek Road. From there, it is a short walk of approximately 1 km to the trailhead. Keep in mind that bus fares vary depending on the zones you travel through; you may need a Myki card for access.
