Walking
From the center of Bad Gastein, start at the Bad Gastein train station. Exit the station and head towards the main street, Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Straße. Walk along this street in the direction of the Bad Gastein waterfall, following the signs for the Wasserfall. Continue along the street until you reach the junction with the road to the Stubnerkogel cable car station. At this junction, turn left onto the road leading up the mountain.
Cable Car
Once you reach the Stubnerkogel cable car station, purchase a ticket for the cable car. Take the cable car to the top of Stubnerkogel. Enjoy the scenic views during the ride. After disembarking at the top station, follow the marked hiking trails leading to Kreuzkogel. The trail is well signposted and should take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.
Hiking
As you hike towards Kreuzkogel, keep an eye out for the trail markers that will guide you along the route. The path may have some steep sections, so be prepared for a moderate hike. Enjoy the beautiful alpine scenery and take breaks as needed. Upon reaching Kreuzkogel, you will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
