Walking
If you are starting from the center of Bad Gastein, head east on the main street (Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Straße) until you reach the junction with B167. Turn left onto B167 and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will pass the Bad Gastein railway station on your right. After a bit more than 1 kilometer, watch for signs directing you towards the Schlossalmbahn cable car station. The station is located at Schlossalmplatz 1 in Bad Hofgastein, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the center of Bad Gastein.
Public Transport - Bus
From Bad Gastein, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Straße near the Post Office. Catch the bus towards Bad Hofgastein. The bus number 550 runs regularly between Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Bad Hofgastein bus station, exit the bus and walk for about 5 minutes towards Schlossalmplatz. Follow the signs, and you should see the Schlossalmbahn cable car station ahead.

For a more direct and comfortable option, you can take a taxi from any location in Bad Gastein to Schlossalmplatz 1 in Bad Hofgastein. Taxis are available at various points in Bad Gastein, including the railway station and main streets. The taxi ride typically takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
