Getting There

• Public Transport

  From Bregenz city center, head to the Bregenz train station (Bahnhof Bregenz). You can walk there in about 10-15 minutes. Once at the station, take a regional train (e.g., the train towards Oberstaufen). The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at Oberstaufen station. From there, you can either walk or take a local bus to Buchenegger Wasserfälle. If walking, head north from the station, following the signs to Buchenegger Wasserfälle. It should take around 45 minutes to reach the waterfalls.

• Bus

  From Bregenz, go to the main bus station (Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof Bregenz), which is located near the train station. Look for bus lines that head to Oberstaufen (check the local schedule for exact bus times). The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Oberstaufen, continue by bus or on foot towards Buchenegger Wasserfälle. If walking, follow the signs that lead you north from the bus stop to the waterfalls, which should take around 45 minutes.

• Walking

  If you are already in Bregenz and prefer to walk, start from the city center and walk towards the Lake Constance promenade. Follow the path north along the lake until you reach the train station. From there, you can take a regional train to Oberstaufen. After arriving at Oberstaufen, walk north as mentioned earlier to reach Buchenegger Wasserfälle. This option may take more time, so ensure you have a good pair of shoes and enough time for the hike.
