Start at the Bregenz city center, specifically at the Bregenz Train Station (Bahnhofstrasse 1). From the station, head northwest on Bahnhofstraße towards Schillerstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Seestraße. Turn left onto Seestraße, which will lead you along the beautiful Bodensee (Lake Constance). Follow the lakeside path until you arrive at the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Lindau, which will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive on Lindau Insel, walk towards the main square and follow the signs to Gerberschanze, which is located a short 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Bregenz, such as 'Bregenz Rad' near the city center. From the rental shop, head towards the lakeside promenade via Seestraße. Once you reach the promenade, follow the path along the lake heading west towards Lindau. The cycling route is scenic and will take approximately 20-30 minutes to reach the ferry terminal. After arriving at the ferry terminal in Lindau, park your bike and take the ferry to Lindau Insel. Once on the island, Gerberschanze is a 10-minute walk from the ferry stop.

Once you arrive at the Lindau train station, exit and walk towards the ferry terminal, which is well signposted. After a short 5-minute walk, you will reach the terminal.
