Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the A14 motorway. Depending on your location in Bregenzerwald, you may need to take local roads to reach the A14. Once on the A14, take the exit towards Bludenz/Bregenzerwald. Continue on B198, following signs towards Bartholomäberg. After about 15 kilometers, take the exit towards Bartholomäberg and follow the signs to Knappagruaba 3. The historic mine will be on your right after a short drive.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train to Bludenz station, which is well connected to various regions in Austria. From Bludenz, catch the bus number 64 towards Bartholomäberg. The bus journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Bartholomäberg' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Knappagruaba 3, where the historic mine is located. Make sure to check the bus timetable in advance as services may vary.
Walking
If you are already in Bartholomäberg, you can easily walk to the historic mine. Start from the center of the village and head towards Knappagruaba. Follow the signs directing you to the mine. The walk should take around 20 minutes and is a pleasant stroll through the village.
