Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Eisenstadt, the capital of Burgenland. Head southwest on B50 toward B16. Continue on B16 for about 20 km. After reaching the town of St. Margarethen, take the exit toward Neusiedl am See. Follow the signs for Ruine Hochgrimmenstein, which will direct you to the location. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a train from Eisenstadt to Neusiedl am See. The train runs frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Neusiedl am See, you can take bus line 210 towards St. Margarethen. Get off at the stop 'Hochgrimmenstein' which is a short walk from the ruins. Be sure to check the current bus schedules as they may vary.
Walking
If you are nearby and prefer to walk, the hike to Ruine Hochgrimmenstein from the nearest bus stop takes approximately 15 minutes. Follow the marked trail from the bus stop, which will lead you through scenic paths to the ruins. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain may be uneven.
