To reach Europaschutzgebiet Fohramoos from the city center of Dornbirn, start by heading to the Dornbirn train station (Bahnhof Dornbirn). You can walk there in about 10 minutes from the central square (Marktplatz). Once at the station, take bus number 35 towards 'Rheintal'. After approximately 15 minutes, alight at the stop 'Fohramoos'. From the bus stop, walk about 5 minutes following the signs to the nature preserve, which is located nearby. The path is well-marked and will lead you straight to the entrance of Europaschutzgebiet Fohramoos.
Walking
If you prefer to walk from the city center, start at Dornbirn's Marktplatz and head northwest towards the B190 road. Follow the B190 for about 1.5 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Once you reach the intersection with the road leading to Fohramoos, turn right. Continue walking for another 1 kilometer until you see the sign for Europaschutzgebiet Fohramoos. The walk will take around 30-40 minutes and offers a pleasant glimpse of the surrounding nature.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Dornbirn. Start from the city center and follow the designated bike paths towards the B190 road. Cycle along the road for about 2 kilometers, then take the turn towards the nature preserve. The total distance is approximately 3 kilometers from the city center and should take around 15-20 minutes of cycling. Keep an eye out for cyclists’ signs directing you to Europaschutzgebiet Fohramoos.
