If you are driving, take the A1 motorway from Salzburg towards Vienna. Exit at 'Golling' and follow the signs towards 'Gosau' on the B162 road. Continue on the B162 until you reach the village of Gosau. Once in Gosau, follow the signs to 'Vorderer Gosausee'. There is a parking area near the trailhead where you can park your car.
