If you are driving, head towards Unterhaus. From the center of Gailtal, take the B111 towards Hermagor. After approximately 15 kilometers, turn onto L25 towards Unterhaus. Follow L25 for about 5 kilometers until you reach Unterhaus. The Burgruine Ortenburg is located at Unterhaus 22, 9805 Unterhaus. Look for signs directing you to the castle once you arrive in the village. There is parking available near the site.

To reach Burgruine Ortenburg using public transport, take a train from your location to Hermagor. From Hermagor, catch bus number 521, which will take you directly to Unterhaus. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Once you get off at the Unterhaus stop, it's a short walk to Burgruine Ortenburg at Unterhaus 22.
