Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading to Bad Gastein, a prominent town in Gastein Valley. From the center of Bad Gastein, follow the signs towards the Gasteiner Ache river. Drive along B166 for approximately 5 km until you reach the parking area near the waterfall trailhead, which is well-marked. There may be a small parking fee, so be prepared with some coins or a parking card.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a train or bus to Bad Gastein. From the Bad Gastein train station, you can catch a local bus heading towards the Gasteiner Ache river area. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary. Get off at the stop closest to the waterfall trailhead. From there, follow the well-marked hiking path to reach Gasteiner Ache Wasserfall. The walk is about 20-30 minutes along a scenic trail.

  If you are already in Bad Gastein and prefer to walk, you can hike to Gasteiner Ache Wasserfall. Start from the town center and head towards the Gasteiner Ache river. Follow the signs along the trail, which is approximately 3 km long and takes about 30-40 minutes to hike. The trail is generally well-maintained, but wear sturdy shoes as it can be rocky in parts.
