If you are starting from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) in Graz, exit the station and head south on Gleisdorferstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Annenstraße. Turn right onto Annenstraße and walk until you reach the intersection with Jakominiplatz. Here, you can catch tram line 1 or 7 towards Graz city center.

Take tram line 1 or 7 from Jakominiplatz towards the city center. Get off at the next stop, Schlossplatz. From Schlossplatz, walk towards the Schloßberg, which is clearly visible. Follow the signs leading to Schloßbergsteig, which is the main path up to the Schloßberg hill.

Once you arrive at the base of Schloßberg, look for the entrance to Schloßbergsteig. It is a well-marked path that will take you up the hill. The walk is quite scenic, with beautiful views of Graz. Follow the path all the way to the top, where you will find stunning views of the city and the iconic clock tower.

Alternatively, you can take bus line 30 or 31 from Jakominiplatz to the stop called 'Schloßberg'. From there, follow the signs to Schloßbergsteig. This option is convenient if you prefer not to walk too much.
