Car
Start your journey in Grossglockner and head towards Fusch. Take the B165 road, which will lead you south. Continue on B165 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the signs for Fusch. Follow the signs and turn onto the L12 road towards Fusch. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will arrive in Fusch. From Fusch, head towards the Sandbodenkees area. Make sure to park your car at designated parking areas, as parking directly near the glacier may not be allowed.
Public Transportation
Take a local bus from Grossglockner to Fusch. Bus services may vary, so check the local schedules for exact times. Once you arrive in Fusch, you will need to walk towards the Sandbodenkees area. Depending on the bus stop, it may take about 20 minutes on foot. Look for signs directing you to the Sandbodenkees, and follow the pathways leading into the natural area.

If you are already in the vicinity of Fusch, you can opt for a hiking route to Sandbodenkees. From the center of Fusch, follow the marked trails that lead towards the glacier. This hike will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes and bring plenty of water.
