Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Gurktal. Take the B92 road towards Friesach. After approximately 15 kilometers, turn left onto Petersbergweg. Follow Petersbergweg for about 2 kilometers until you reach Burgruine Petersberg, located at Petersbergweg 18, 9360 Friesach. There is parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Gurktal to Friesach. Check the local bus schedules for the most convenient route, as they may vary. Once you arrive at Friesach, you can either walk to Burgruine Petersberg, which is about a 30-minute walk (approximately 2.5 kilometers) from the bus stop, or you can take a taxi for a quicker option. The taxi ride will take about 5-10 minutes and cost around €10-15.
Walking
For those who want to enjoy a scenic walk, after arriving at Friesach via bus, head towards the center of town and follow the signs towards Petersbergweg.
