Walking
If you are starting from the Hallstatt town center, head towards the waterfront along the main street, Marktplatz. Continue walking straight until you reach the lake. From there, turn left and follow the lakeside path. After a short walk of about 10 minutes, you will see the Welterbemuseum Hallstatt on your right at Seestraße 56. The museum is easily identifiable by its sign and the beautiful view of the lake.
Public Transport - Funicular
For a scenic route, you can take the funicular from the Hallstatt train station to the top of the mountain. Once you arrive at the top, take the path that leads you back down towards the town. This route offers stunning views of Hallstatt and the lake. As you descend, you will find signs directing you back to Seestraße. After about 20-30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Welterbemuseum Hallstatt.
