After approximately 10 km, look for signs directing you to the Großglockner High Alpine Road (Großglockner Hochalpenstraße). Note that there is a toll fee to access this scenic route, which is about €37 for a car. Follow the road until you reach the parking area near the starting point of the hike to Leiterfall.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a train to the nearby town of Zell am See. From Zell am See, you can catch a bus to Heiligenblut. The bus service operates regularly, and you can check the schedules online. Once you arrive in Heiligenblut, you will need to take a taxi or shuttle service to the Großglockner High Alpine Road. Be aware that the taxi fare can vary but expect to pay approximately €30-€50 for the short ride to the parking area near Leiterfall.

From the parking area near the Großglockner High Alpine Road, you will find well-marked hiking trails leading to Leiterfall.
