Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße. From the center of Fusch, head southeast on the B107 (Großglocknerstraße) towards the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. The entrance to the road is approximately 8 km from Fusch. Follow the signs for the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße. There is an entrance fee of approximately €37 for cars (prices may vary depending on the season). The road is open from early May to late October, but check the weather conditions before you go.
Public Transportation
To reach Großglockner Hochalpenstraße using public transportation, take a train to Zell am See. From Zell am See, catch a bus to Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße. The bus journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Fusch, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to the entrance of the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße. Note that the bus schedules may vary, so be sure to check the latest timings. The total cost for this journey may be around €15-€20, depending on your starting point.
