From Innsbruck city center, head to the Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (main train station). You can walk there or take a bus. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for the local train to Thaur. The train leaves from platform 1 or 2. The journey will take about 10 minutes. After arriving at Thaur station, exit the station and walk northeast on Bahnhofstrasse. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection. Turn right onto Schloßgasse, and you will find Burgruine Thaur at number 19, about a 5-minute walk down the street.

Turn left onto Maria-Theresien-Straße and walk for another 500 meters. You will see signs for the direction to Thaur.
