Getting There

Walking
Start at the Pradl district. Head southwest on Pradler Straße towards the Inn River. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Innstraße. Turn left onto Innstraße and walk along the riverbank for about 15 minutes. You will pass several parks and have a nice view of the mountains. When you reach the bridge (Innbrücke), cross over to the other side of the river.

After crossing the bridge, turn right onto Maria-Theresien-Straße, which is the main shopping street. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, enjoying the shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for the beautiful architecture and street performers. You will see the large square (Marktplatz) ahead, where you can take a small break if you wish.

Continue walking straight towards the Golden Roof. You will see the landmark ahead as you approach Herzog-Friedrich-Straße. The Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl) is located directly on this street. It will be on your left at Herzog-Friedrich-Straße 15. Take a moment to admire the intricate golden tiles that give this historic landmark its name.

If you prefer to use public transport, from Pradl take tram line 3 or 5 from 'Pradl' station towards the city center. Get off at 'Marktplatz' stop. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to the Golden Roof. Head towards Herzog-Friedrich-Straße, and you will find the Golden Roof on your left.
