Getting There

    If you're driving, head towards Ellmau from the nearest major town, which is Kufstein. Take the A12 motorway and exit at Kufstein Nord. Follow signs for B173 towards Ellmau. Once in Ellmau, continue on the main road until you reach the parking area near the valley station of the Hartkaiserbahn cable car. The parking fee is approximately €5 for the day. From the parking area, follow the marked hiking trails towards Ellmauer Tor.

    If you're using public transport, start by taking a train to Kufstein station. From Kufstein, take bus line 830 towards Ellmau. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes, and you should get off at the stop 'Ellmau Ort'. From the bus stop, walk towards the valley station of the Hartkaiserbahn cable car. The bus fare is approximately €5. Once at the valley station, you can begin your hike towards Ellmauer Tor by following the clearly marked trails.
