If you are traveling by car, head towards Ellmau on the B178 road. From the center of Ellmau, follow signs for 'Heimatmuseum.' Once you reach Steinerner Tisch, turn onto the road leading to Steinerner Tisch 27. The museum is located on your left. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of any parking regulations. There may be a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from any location in Kaisergebirge to the Ellmau bus station. Buses are frequent, but check the local schedule for the exact times. From the Ellmau bus station, it is about a 15-minute walk to Heimatmuseum Ellmau. Exit the bus station, head southwest on Dorfstraße, turn left onto Steinerner Tisch, and continue until you reach Steinerner Tisch 27. Ensure to wear comfortable walking shoes. If you prefer, you can also take a taxi from the bus station, which will cost approximately €10.
