If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Mittenwald or Seefeld. From Mittenwald, drive south on B2 towards Scharnitz. Upon entering Scharnitz, continue on B177 towards the Karwendel Mountains. Look for signs directing you to Karwendelschlucht. There is parking available near the entrance to the gorge, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train to the Scharnitz station. Trains run frequently from Innsbruck or Munich. Once you arrive at Scharnitz station, exit and walk towards the town center. Follow the signs for Karwendelschlucht which will lead you to a nearby bus stop. Take bus line 4040 towards Mittenwald, and get off at the stop 'Karwendelschlucht'. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. The bus fare is approximately €3.50.
