If you are driving, start from Innsbruck. Head north on the A12 motorway towards Kufstein. Take the exit for B171 towards Hall in Tirol. Follow B171 until you reach the town of Absam. In Absam, follow signs for Hundskopf. There is a parking area near the trailhead. Parking may incur a small fee, typically around €5 for the day.

From Innsbruck, take the train towards Hall in Tirol. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Hall in Tirol, transfer to bus line 504 towards Absam.
