If you're traveling by car, head towards Gemeinde Scharnitz in the Karwendel Mountains. From Innsbruck, take the A12 motorway and exit at 'Scharnitz' (Exit 94). Follow signs for B177 towards Scharnitz. Once in Scharnitz, look for signs pointing to the Karwendelschlucht, which is located just outside the village. There is parking available nearby, but be prepared for a short walk to the gorge.
Public Transportation
To reach Karwendelschlucht via public transportation, take a train from Innsbruck to Scharnitz. Trains run regularly and the journey takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Scharnitz train station, exit the station and walk towards the village center. From there, follow the signs for Karwendelschlucht. You may need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes along the path leading to the gorge.
