If you are driving, head towards Pertisau, which is one of the main access points to the Karwendel Mountains. From Pertisau, take the road leading to the Karwendelbahn cable car station. Park your car in the designated parking area near the cable car station. The parking fee is approximately €5 per day. Once parked, take the cable car up to the top station. From there, you can start your hike to Karwendeltal, following the marked trail that leads directly into the valley.

To reach Karwendeltal using public transport, take a train to Jenbach, which is the nearest train station. From Jenbach, transfer to the Zillertalbahn train that goes to Pertisau. Once in Pertisau, you can either walk to the Karwendelbahn cable car station or take a local bus if available. The bus fare is around €3. After reaching the cable car station, you will need to purchase a ticket for the cable car, which costs approximately €15 for a round trip. After reaching the top station, follow the designated hiking paths to Karwendeltal.
