    The Hengsthütte is a stop on the Schneeberg Railway. From Puchberg am Schneeberg, take the train towards Hochschneeberg. The Hengsthütte is a designated stop. Check the Schneebergbahn schedule for departure times. A one way ticket to Hengsthutte is 9.00 EUR. A regular ticket to the top of Schneeberg costs 47.50 EUR.

    From the parking lot in Puchberg, walk towards Muthenhof. Follow the wide path on the western side of the Schneeberg Railway line to the Hengsthütte. Ignore any branching paths. The hike is about 4 km and takes approximately 1 hour.
