Follow Burgruinenweg for about 1 kilometer until you reach Ruine Lichtenegg, located at Burgruinenweg 3, 8661 St. Barbara im Mürztal. There is free parking available near the ruins.

For those using public transportation, take the regional train from Mürztal to Sankt Barbara im Mürztal. The train ride takes about 15 minutes. Upon arriving at the Sankt Barbara im Mürztal station, exit and walk towards Hauptstraße. From there, take bus line 172 towards 'Wartberg im Mürztal'. Get off at the 'Burgruinenweg' stop, which is about a 5-minute ride. Walk approximately 1 kilometer along Burgruinenweg to reach Ruine Lichtenegg at Burgruinenweg 3. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for timings.
