Getting There

Gondola and Walking

From the Alpendorf Gondelbahn valley station, take the gondola up towards Alpendorf. From the mountain station, follow the signs towards Buchau-Hütte. The walk from the Alpendorf gondola top station is approximately 30 minutes. The Alpendorf Gondelbahn ticket price is around €33 for adults for a day pass. From the top of the gondola, the walk to Buchau Hütte is free.
Car and Walking

Drive towards Alpendorf on Alpendorfstraße. Park at the Alpendorf Gondelbahn valley station. Parking is free. From there, either take the gondola and walk for 30 minutes, or hike up the mountain. The hike to Buchau Hütte from the parking area will take approximately 1.5 - 2 hours.
