From Salzburg, take the regional train from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station) to Prien am Chiemsee. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Prien am Chiemsee, exit the train station and follow the signs to the ferry terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk. At the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Fraueninsel (Frauen Island). The ferry ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Fraueninsel, follow the signs to Frauenwörth Abbey, which is a short walk from the ferry dock.

Bus and Ferry
From Salzburg, take bus number 840 from the Salzburg bus station (near Mirabell Palace) to the town of Chieming. The bus ride takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Chieming, walk to the nearby ferry terminal. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Fraueninsel. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Fraueninsel, follow the signs to Frauenwörth Abbey, which is just a short walk from the dock.

For a more adventurous route, rent a bike in Salzburg. Cycle along the scenic paths towards Chiemsee, which is approximately 30 km away and can take about 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace.
