Walking
If you are in the Old Town (Altstadt), head towards the Salzach River. Walk along the riverbank towards the east until you reach the Makartsteg bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight up the hill towards Mönchsberg. The Museum der Moderne is located at Am Mönchsberg 32. It should take you about 20-30 minutes to walk from the Old Town.

From the main train station (Hauptbahnhof), take bus number 5 towards 'Aigen'. Get off at the 'Mönchsberg' stop. From there, follow the signs to the Museum der Moderne, which is a short 5-minute walk uphill. The total travel time will be approximately 15-20 minutes including waiting time.

From the Old Town, make your way to the base of Mönchsberg where the funicular station is located. You can find it near the Festung Hohensalzburg. Buy a ticket and take the funicular up to the top.
